There are two ways to create a user account:
If you create a user account using strong identification, your identity will be verified using electronic identification means. You can use Finnish online banking credentials, a certificate card or a mobile certificate to create an account. If you are an EU citizen, you can use your eIDAS identification to create an account. This way, you can log in to Enter Finland using a strong identification device issued in another EU country.
Are you an employer and about to create a user account? Create an employer’s user account here: Enter Finland for Employers
Are you a counsel or a representative and about to create a user account? Create a user account as a counsel or a representative here: Enter Finland for Counsels and Representatives
Benefits of using strong identification:
Your user account is safer.
A user account that is created using strong identification is safer than an email account because your identity can be verified electronically.
No need to visit a service point.
In some cases, you do not need to visit a service point to prove your identity if:
- you log in to Enter Finland using strong identification, meaning that your identity is verified online
- you apply for an extended permit
However, this is not possible in all situations when you apply for an extended permit. When you apply online, Enter Finland will show you whether a personal visit is needed or not. Read more about the requirements: migri.fi/en/identification.
